We have Alaska salmon fishing packages available from May to September; King Salmon run from May through Early August, Silver Salmon run from July through September, Sockeye Salmon run from late June to mid-July, Chum Salmon run from late July through August and Pink Salmon run from late July to mid-August. Each year, the ADF&G announce their salmon fishing regulations in April, prior to the start of the season. The following regulations have been updated for the 2024 season. These regulations are subject to change, at any time, during the 2024 calendar year.
Each year, in April, we receive the final regulations for Salmon, Halibut, Ling Cod and Rockfish. These regulations come from the Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G) and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Their mission is to ensure that the fishery (all species) is properly managed to provide for healthy and long term sustainability.
Non-Resident Regulations:
King Salmon
Jan 1 - June 30 - 1 King Salmon (over 28") per day with an annual limit of 3 Kings.
July 1 - July 15 - 1 King Salmon (over 28") per day with an annual limit of 2 Kings.
July 16 - Dec 31 - 1 King Salmon (over 28") per day with an annual limit of 1 King.
Silver (Coho) Salmon
6-Silver Salmon per day with no annual limit - No date restrictions
Halibut
1-Halibut per day - Size Restrictions: Jan through July 14, under 40" or over 80"; July 15 to Dec 31, under 36" or over 80" - with no annual limit - No date restrictions
Fridays will be closed to retaining Halibut from July 19 to September 13, 2024
Ling Cod
1-Ling Cod per day and 1-Ling Cod annual limit (between 30" and 35")
Rockfish
Pelagic Rockfish - 2 per day, no annual limit
Non-Pelagic Rockfish - Restricted in 2024, no retention allowed
