Our Story

When we first set foot on the sand beach of Apple Island, in 2003, we set out to frame this spectacular setting with a complimenting array of accommodations, culinary offerings, service standards and amenities that separate Talon Lodge from every other fishing lodge in Alaska. We believe that we have accomplished this goal.

From the moment that you first set foot on one of our boats, for your journey to our private island from Sitka, until we deliver you back to the Sitka airport for your journey home – you will experience a lodging and fishing experience that is without compare in Southeast Alaska.

At Talon Lodge we leave nothing to chance. We have combined the Alaska’s most spectacular setting with large and comfortable boats, the area’s most experienced captains and world class cuisine. More importantly, we have assembled a service staff that is attentive to our guests’ every need.
