Whether you prefer to fly fish in freshwater or sport fish in saltwater, Alaska ranks as one of the top fishing destinations in the world. The plentiful population of fish, the cold waters and vast area available creates the ideal situation for Salmon, Halibut, Cod and Fly Fishing.<\/p>\n

\"Alaska<\/a>Salmon Fishing<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 The season for Salmon starts in May and lasts through the end of September. Spring welcomes King Salmon, the beginning of the summer is the height of the Sockeye Salmon run, leading into Pink and Chum Salmon in mid to late July and the season ends with Silver Salmon\u2019s popularity in August and September.<\/p>\n

Halibut Fishing<\/strong> \u2013 The saltwater fishing for Halibut in Alaska is some of the best near Sitka. The season lasts from May to September, with some of the larger catches coming in the earlier months. Halibut can weigh in at more than 100 pounds.<\/p>\n

Your fishing adventure will include a knowledgeable fishing guide. You will be accompanied to a secluded area, rarely another human in sight, to fly fish with solitude.
